As an Officer Fleet Operations Support, you will be responsible for the ongoing management of day-to-day Fleet Technical processes that underpin QantasLink Flight Operations. This includes the preparation of critical technical data pertaining to aircraft take-off, landing and in-flight performance, as well as the development of technical and procedural content for inclusion in QantasLink Flight Operations manuals. You will also be accountable for ensuring the accuracy of technical information and maintaining procedures related to aircraft acceptance and delivery flights.

Reporting to the Manager Fleet Operations, you will play a key role in delivering operational support to a wide range of stakeholders across various business units within QantasLink. Core responsibilities include flight planning, aircraft performance calculations, management of electronic flight bag and generation of in-house aeronautical information publications. Additionally, you will conduct assessments of new aerodromes to evaluate their suitability for specific aircraft fleet types and review aircraft characteristics provided by the aircraft manufacturers. This role will also provide operational support to Flight Crew outside of business hours.

To be successful you will possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Aviation, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in a flight technical capacity within the Flight Operations environment.
  • CASA Recreational Pilot License or higher qualification is desirable, along with a sound understanding of civil aviation safety legislation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to influence and engage stakeholders across all levels within the business units.
  • Superior communication capabilities, including the aptitude to articulate complex concepts clearly and effectively, particularly in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to effectively prioritise tasks in alignment with business objectives.
  • Advanced analytical proficiency, with the capability to interpret and derive insights from large datasets.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all aspects of work.
