Frequently Asked Questions
When does the Qantas Graduate Program start?
The Qantas Graduate Program has two intakes per year, one in August and one in February.
Does Qantas accept applications from International Students?
Yes, however, applications can only be considered from those students who have Australian Permanent Residency or Citizenship at the point of their application. Unfortunately, the Qantas Graduate Program does not provide Visa Sponsorship opportunities.

Qantas will provide basic relocation assistance to successful interstate applicants only.
What security requirements must I meet?
All Qantas employees are required to complete an ASIC background check prior to commencement with the Qantas Group.
Can I apply for more than one stream?
No, candidates are asked to apply for one stream only. Once you select your preferred stream and submit an application, you will not be able to change it. We suggest you choose the stream that you are most passionate about. If you're successful in securing a place within one of our Graduate cohorts, our Program team will work with you to discuss how rotations within your stream contribute to your career goals and passions, ensuring they remain aligned.
Do I need any prior experience in order to apply?
No. Aside from the minimum study and eligibility requirements, our Graduates are not expected to have any formal corporate work experience prior to commencing with the Program. All we ask of our future graduates is that they are eager to learn, try new things and ask plenty of questions along the way.
What happens at the end of the Qantas Graduate Program?
Upon the successful completion of the Qantas Graduate Program, you'll work with the Graduate Program Manager and other relevant stakeholders to identify suitable roles that are available internally. The skills, knowledge and experience gained throughout each rotation, as well as the strong internal network that Graduates build over the course of two years, all contribute to creating opportunities for permanent employment at the conclusion of the Program.

- 70% of learning and development takes place from real-life and on-the-job experiences, tasks, and problem solving.
- 20% comes from feedback and from observing and working with role models.
