As the Duty Airport Manager – PNG, you’ll take the lead in managing the day-to-day ramp operations at the airport. Your focus will be on driving safety, operational performance, on-time departures, quality assurance and continuous improvement. Reporting to the Airport Manager, you’ll collaborate closely with our Ground Service Providers to ensure full compliance with Qantas policies and procedures.

 

This is a shift-based role, operating on a rotational roster across seven days a week. If you're someone who enjoys providing direction, collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders, driving process and performance improvements, and keen to develop a deeper understanding of ramp operations, this could be the ideal opportunity for you. 

 

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Prior experience across below-wing or ramp operations is highly regarded.
  • Experience leading teams or managing suppliers in a customer-facing environment.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to confidently engage, debate, and facilitate meetings.
  • A flexible, can-do attitude, capable of coaching, hands-on problem-solving, and driving actions.
  • Exceptional attention to detail to ensure high-quality outcomes.
