Travel Consultant

We’re looking for a skilled and customer-focused Travel Consultant to support Qantas and partner airline bookings from our Papua New Guinea office. In this role, you’ll be responsible for delivering seamless end-to-end travel experiences by managing flight reservations, ticketing, changes, and customer queries across a range of international and domestic itineraries. You’ll be the go-to expert on fare rules, airline policies, and global travel requirements – with a strong focus on accuracy, service, and problem-solving.

You’ll Have:

• Completion of Fares & Ticketing 1 and 2, with strong knowledge of fare rules, penalties, reissues, and revalidation
• Experience using Global Distribution Systems (Amadeus preferred), including cryptic commands and complex bookings
• Meticulous attention to detail when entering passenger names, dates, and flight details
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm and responsive during disruptions
• Excellent communication skills – verbal and written – to clearly explain fare conditions and travel options
• A passion for delivering empathetic, solutions-focused customer service
• Strong organisational and time management skills to manage multiple bookings and deadlines
• Good understanding of global geography, time zones, major hubs, and visa requirements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, email, and the ability to quickly learn new systems and tools
