As an In-Port Trainer, you will be responsible for training, coaching, assessing and evaluating our Customer Experience teams to ensure Qantas standards are delivered. This will involve delivering instructional training to front line colleagues within Airports Customer Experience and facilitating the delivery of tasks. The core curriculum encompasses a standard colleague induction, soft skills, technical, systems, process and procedural training relating to Customer Service within Australian Airports.

Reporting to the Planning Manager for Airports, you will contribute to the improvement of training material manuals to ensure highest quality of information is presented and meets regulatory requirements. In addition, you will be responsible for identifying training requirements, recommending training solutions and course structure outlines in collaboration with Group Learning & Development (L&D). 

This position will be required to develop an in-depth knowledge of the Operational portfolio they are responsible for. This will enable them to effectively facilitate training and liaise with the Training Community (e.g. L&D). You will also be required to use current adult learning methodology, identify areas for continuous improvement, and actively promote a positive learning environment.

You’ll have –

  • Comprehensive knowledge or experience in Airport Operations – preferably customer experience
  • Experience with CM Systems - Amadeus 
  • Experience delivering face-to-face instructional training and/or upskilling
  • Ability to commit to a shift work roster
  • Certificate IV in Workplace Training (or related discipline) – advantageous but not required
  • Experience in delivery and coordinating training programs within a highly regulated service environment
  • Thorough working knowledge of a wide range of relevant policy, procedures, and regulations
  • Confident and professional written/oral communication skills
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and enthusiasm for training delivery
  • Outstanding organisational ability
  • Decisive with the ability to analyse/resolve problems, considering planning data and procedural requirements
