The Senior Manager Governance and Delivery – Group Business Resilience is a critical leadership role responsible for protecting the Group’s assets, people, customers and brand through the strategic direction and governance of Group Business Resilience (GBR). The role provides both strategic leadership and operational oversight to ensure the Group builds and sustains world-class resilience capabilities.

The position leads the design, implementation and ongoing refinement of strategic uplift programs to advance Group Resilience priorities. Central to this mandate is the execution of a diverse portfolio of continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen governance, enhance process excellence, uplift organisational capability and enable large-scale change management across the Group.

The role operates across all Group AOCs and functional disciplines, enabling integrated and rapid responses to complex risks and disruptions. It provides leadership in resilience planning and the development of strategic capabilities that allow the Group to adapt and respond effectively in a dynamic operating environment. Working in close partnership with the Head of Group Business Resilience and Continuity, the Senior Manager leads critical activities and assumes shared accountability for delivering enterprise-wide resilience outcomes. This includes direct accountability for both a dedicated team and specialist suppliers.  

Success in this role requires exceptional stakeholder influence and engagement skills at executive and operational levels. It calls for a leader with deep expertise in transformation and risk programs, proven people leadership experience, and the ability to foster a culture of resilience, agility and proactive risk management.

You’ll have –

  • Minimum 10+ years progressive experience in enterprise governance, portfolio
    management, strategic operations, continuous improvement, or similar
  • Tertiary Qualification- Advanced qualification in Portfolio Management, Crisis Management, Business Continuity, Risk Management, Safety Systems or related discipline (Master's degree preferred)
  • Minimum 10+ years progressive experience in enterprise governance, continuous improvement or business resilience roles
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing governance frameworks, risk frameworks systems, and business continuity programs
  • People leadership experience
  • Ability to understand regulatory requirements, industry standards (ISO 22301,
    AS/NZS 5050), and best practice crisis responses
  • Strategic thinking and systems design with ability to conceptualize and implement
    enterprise-wide solutions
  • Change management expertise with demonstrated success in driving organizational transformation and system adoption
  • Executive presence and ability to influence senior leadership, board-level committees, and external stakeholders
  • Complex project management skills with experience managing multiple concurrent initiatives across diverse business units
  • Matrix leadership capabilities with proven success in achieving outcomes through
    influence rather than direct authority.
  • Demonstrate strong change management capabilities
  • Exceptional communication skills with ability to present complex technical concepts to executive audiences
  • Stakeholder engagement expertise across internal divisions, regulatory bodies, emergency services, and community organizations
  • Negotiation and consensus-building skills to manage competing priorities and drive collaborative solutions
  • Cultural intelligence and ability to work effectively across diverse organizational cultures and external partnerships
  • Continuous improvement capabilities, including process optimisation skills
