Test Lead

• Test Lead role working within our Jetstar Technology Team
• Working on challenging and exciting initiatives
• 12-month role based at our Collingwood head office (hybrid working options available)

As the Test Lead you will be responsible for supporting the project roll out through the development and delivery of the test plan, test scenarios and test cases. You will coordinate with testing resources with our Technology team, helping drive the requirement definition, ensuring accurate and testable requirements while reducing risk.

Key responsibilities:

• Review business requirements and create the test plan to enable successful delivery.
• Create/Review test cases, test status reports, defects, test summary report.
• Manage the defect lifecycle and lead defect triage meetings.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on testing progress, issues and outcomes.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external development teams to support the delivery of high-quality project outcomes.
• Help schedule and manage testing efforts, across multiple teams, to minimize delays and meet project deadlines.
• Support the creation and alignment of team processes (Way of Working) with domain best practices.
• Raise and manage testing risks throughout the project.
• Support the use of automation in testing within the domain to improve efficiency and quality.
• Contribute to success of the Software Testing Practice by sharing knowledge, suggesting improvements and heling create templates and best practices.

You’ll have:

• 5 years in a similar role working in a complex environment.
• Experience with Jira Xray or similar Test Management systems.
• Experience working in an Agile and Waterfall environment.
• Strong organisational skills and enjoy a dynamic, agile environment.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, testing types, and the software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Strong business acumen with the ability to understand commercial, operational and customer experience impact.
• Proficiency in test case design, execution, and defect management.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of developing, maintaining or executing automation scripts will be highly regarded, but not essential.
