About our Engineering Team 

The Jetstar Engineering Team are at the forefront of delivering our superior safety standards.  They are responsible for ensuring the airworthiness of our fleet of aircraft, including completing all required maintenance that must be carried out on time and to approved standards to ensure they take to the skies safely.  At every stage, all maintenance needs to be documented, detailed records maintained, with aircraft parts ordered and available at all times. 

About the opportunity

As the Materials Support Coordinator your primary function will be the procurement of spares and management of logistics movements of spares that are required to maintain Jetstar A320/321/B787 aircraft. The MSC coordinates all spares support needed to expedite Aircraft On Ground (AOG) recovery and ensures that material requirements are met so that maintenance can be effectively acquitted across the Jetstar network.

As the Materials Support Coordinator you will be responsible to

  • Action AOG requisitions to satisfy requirements
  • Monitor part movements to ensure availability for planned maintenance and defect rectification
  • Review deferral data daily
  • Implement corrective action as needed to avoid recurrent materials-related deferrals
  • Mailbox management of purchasing, repairs and logistics requirements

 Your experience and competencies:

  • Qualification/Experience in Purchasing or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of procurement (purchasing or repairs) or logistics experience,
  • Preferably in an operational environment
  • Effective written and verbal communication
  • Understanding of aircraft maintenance materials
  • Working knowledge of TRAX (preferrable) and Microsoft Office applications
  • Any prior experience using TRAX will be highly desirable during the shortlisting process
