The Senior Product Manager, Lounges is responsible for designing, developing, and leading the overarching product strategy and roadmap for the Lounges end-to-end product portfolio, ensuring the delivery of an exceptional customer experience. This role encompasses the analysis of market trends to identify and appraise new product opportunities while ensuring strategic alignment with commercial objectives and customer needs. 

In this role you will formulate and implement innovative strategies that optimise the portfolio’s performance, driving collaboration across cross-functional teams and motivating them to achieve shared goals. This role will control critical commercial elements of the product portfolio, including budget management and resource allocation for product cycles. You will negotiate and establish strategic supplier contracts, implementing advanced bargaining techniques while assuring ongoing performance through effective relationship management. 

By synthesising customer insights and employing human-centered design principles, this role will drive transformative product initiatives and enhancements, creating and optimising the portfolio's offerings to maximise customer satisfaction. Furthermore, this role will lead cross-departmental collaboration and provide strategic counsel on product portfolio management and customer experience to Senior Leaders across the Qantas Group. This includes collaborating with stakeholders to determine and define the customer service proposition, identifying revenue generation opportunities, and advising on critical commercial decisions. 

You’ll have:

  • Experience designing, developing and leading product strategy and roadmaps. 
  • Strong ability to analyse market trends to identify and appraise new product opportunities. 
  • Determination to formulate and implement innovative strategies to optimise portfolio performance. 
  • A collaborative approach to cross-functional teams to mutually achieve shared goals. 
  • Demonstrated experience managing budgets and resource allocation for product cycles. 
  • Practical negotiation experience to establish strategic supplier contracts, ensuring ongoing performance. 
  • Synthesised customer insights and employ human-centered design principles to drive product initiatives. 
  • Led cross-departmental collaboration and provided strategic counsel on product management and customer experience. 
  • Evaluated performance metrics and reported key findings to strategise adjustments to product offerings. 
  • 15+ years of experience in product management, supplier/partner management. 
  • Proven track record in developing and executing product strategies. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
