Job Description

  • The Integrated Operations Centre (IOC) executes the network schedule across Australia and the world and focuses on achieving the optimum customer experience through mitigating the daily challenges that occur such as weather. 
  • Contribute directly to the success of Qantas in an IOC Senior Leadership role where you will have a focus on operational excellence, strategy and continuous improvement. 
  • Together we will achieve results in a highly dynamic and rewarding environment  
  •  Full-time, permanent position based in Mascot, Sydney

As the Senior Manager, Operations Delivery, you will have responsibility for the day-to-day leadership of the IOC team that executes the network schedule based on the challenges of the day, whilst also setting up tomorrow’s success. This role is central to driving operational excellence, achieving on-time performance targets, minimising the impacts of delays and disruptions while enhancing the overall customer experience. You will collaborate cross-functionally to ensure a seamless day-of-operations execution, while proactively identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce disruption-related costs, and strengthen customer trust and loyalty. 

To be successful in this role you will have:  

  • Strong senior leadership capabilities, with a history of developing and empowering high-performing teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. 
  • A demonstrated ability to communicate, influence and engage effectively across all levels of management and bring multiple independent units together to achieve the optimum outcome for customers. 
  • Resilience, decisiveness and calmness under pressure, with the ability to lead through complexity and ambiguity while maintaining focus on strategic priorities and operational continuity.  
  • Commercial accumen and strong negotiation skills, adept at managing multifaceted stakeholder interests and delivering optimal outcomes in dynamic, high-pressure environments.
