The Senior Manager Cyber Customer, Culture & Awareness is accountable for building and leading the Group’s first end-to-end Cyber Customer Protection and Education strategy working with cross functional areas and the business to achieve the right balance of protective controls, communication and education with overall customer experience. This role will require significant influence to drive culture change and to raise the brand and profile of cyber security internally and externally. The role also requires a deep understanding of cyber security threats, risks and trends particularly when it comes to the human elements.
 
In addition, the Senior Manager Cyber Customer, Culture & Awareness will raise awareness and understanding of the Group’s cyber risks and to enhance the ‘Human Firewall’ controls to manage the Group’s cyber risks. The role will provide leadership in business engagement, ensure that business units understand the cyber risks that their everyday behaviour and actions can create for the Group as well as their role to help manage these risks. 
 
This role also provides cyber security support to critical customer technology projects aimed at improving the security of customers and Qantas Frequent Flyers. This role reports into the Head of Cyber Business Protect/Group Culture, the business facing cyber function comprising a diverse team of cyber business partners (BISO’s) and other SMEs within the Qantas Group Cyber team. The role will also support the Head of Cyber Business Protect/Group Culture to proactively measure the value and benefits being delivered by the cyber awareness and culture change activities and how well embedded cyber is within the business.
 

You’ll have:

  • 7+ years of experience in a cyber security/information security role with cyber security
    specialist knowledge, significant management and strategy experience along with security
    awareness and education/human firewall controls experience
  • Degree desirable (e.g., Information Security, Information Protection, Computer
    Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information
    Systems Management, Business/Commerce, Law.
  • CISM, CISSP, CCNA, CCIE, CRISC, CSA or other relevant cyber industry
    certifications desirable.
  • Cyber security/cyber safety subject matter expertise gained in senior cyber security
    roles such as cyber risk, governance and compliance, cyber culture, cyber education,
    security architecture etc.
  • Experience in the implementation of human firewall controls (eg social engineering
    testing, data loss protection, authentication, phishing simulations, role specific cyber
    training etc). 
  • Experience in driving cyber culture and behavioural change across complex
    organisations (including with operational workforces)
  • Strong influence & negotiation skills needed to drive alignment of views
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, listening and facilitation skills
  • Excellent time management & related organizational skills, including an appropriate
    sense of urgency, a proactive approach, an ability to anticipate and manage project
    lifecycle events, issues and roadblocks.
  • Understanding of key cyber security frameworks such as ISO27001 and NIST
  • Business/client service skills orientation, conflict resolution, analysis/synthesis of
    information, negotiation, project management is of value 
  • Management reporting and measurement to demonstrate success of programs and
    activities
  • People management experience (desirable
