As the Project Specialist, you will facilitate the cross-functional delivery of project initiatives for the Jetstar customer and commercial functions from idea to implementation. Reporting into the Manager, Customer Transformation and working alongside Project Managers, you will be responsible for supporting the co-ordination and delivery of project milestones and objectives against agreed business case, timeframes and KPI’s, ensuring that all aspects of change management at a Group and Airline level are achieved.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Deliver assigned project responsibilities, on time, on budget and to specification
  • Disseminate key status reports and steering committee/executive updates
  • Build financial models, project implementation plans, presentations and other communications as required
  • Manage and escalate project risk as required and according to Qantas Group Risk Framework
  • Document and organise all project related materials and ensure compliance with all required laws and company policies in the conduct of all projects
  • Model and analyse financial scenarios to determine the benefits and costs related to proposed strategies and projects
  • Define and write business rules and requirements
  • Consultatively develop budgets, targets and appropriate KPIs and establish and manage project data reports
  • Lead discovery workshops, early collaboration with stakeholders and define problem statements/solutions

To be successful in this role, you’ll have:

  • Previous Project management experience including risk and change management capability
  • Experience with international based stakeholders
  • MS Office software, particularly Excel, and Powerpoint
  • Experience with Smartsheet & Confluence software preferred
  • Formal Project Management accreditations such as PMBOK or Prince2 qualifications desirable
