The business is experiencing its most exciting growth opportunity to date through the introduction of the Airbus A220 fleet.

As Manager Technical Engineering Services, you’ll oversee the Technical Services and Reliability engineering functions within the Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO). You’ll be responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance under CASR Part 42, maintaining aircraft safety, and supporting internal and external engineering services. As the key escalation point for operational technical issues, you’ll guide strategic decisions on fleet maintenance, upgrades, and support. The role requires strong collaboration across the QantasLink Engineering function and effective stakeholder management to deliver business and regulatory outcomes.

You’ll have:

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years in aircraft engineering and/or maintenance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of CASA Part 42 regulations and Continuing Airworthiness requirements.
  • Technical knowledge and experience from aircraft OEMs Airbus, Bombardier and or Boeing.
  • Experience managing approved maintenance programs and implementing Reliability-Centred Maintenance (RCM).
  • Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and build technical capability.
  • Demonstrated success in managing service providers and driving performance outcomes.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to evaluate service agreements and manage budgets.
  • Experience in fleet asset lifecycle management, including technical standards and modifications.
  • Ability to develop KPIs and dashboards for performance tracking and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Commitment to safety leadership and fostering a diverse and inclusive workforce.
  • Experience in mentoring, succession planning, and career development of team members.
  • Ability to balance fleet availability, reliability, and maintenance cost effectively.
  • Skilled in risk management, escalation protocols, and operational planning.
