As Manager, Risk – Fleet Programs, you’ll lead the development and delivery of risk frameworks, reporting, and assurance across Fleet Programs. You’ll support senior leadership in risk-based planning and oversee the Entry Into Service program, managing risks and resilience for new and mid-life aircraft. This role also involves building strong relationships across the Qantas Group to drive continuous improvement and ensure alignment with audit and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead risk reporting processes and deliver timely insights to senior leadership and the Board.
  • Maintain and enhance the Group Risk Management Framework, including policies, procedures, and training.
  • Establish and monitor operational and change-related risk processes.
  • Assess and report on risk mitigation strategies and industry best practices.
  • Manage audits and health checks to ensure alignment with risk management standards.
  • Influence and support leaders in adopting effective risk, change, and resilience strategies.
  • Review business processes to ensure controls align with risk mitigation.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and maintain technical and industry knowledge.

You’ll have:

  • A tertiary qualification and 8+ years’ experience in risk management, ideally with post-graduate studies.
  • Strong leadership and experience in risk management for programs
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and problem-solving strategies
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinking with commercial acumen and a results-driven mindset.
  • Ability to influence, negotiate, and build collaborative relationships.
  • Proven capability to manage complex issues independently and within teams.
