Senior Change Manager - Qantas Uniforms

  1. Qantas Airways Limited
Posted date: 27 July 2025

Job Description

  • Lead Change for one of Australia’s Most Iconic Brands
  • Initial 12-month fixed term opportunity based at Mascot Head Office
  • A chance to be part of something iconic – the new Qantas uniform

Qantas is more than just an airline. We're a people-powered business, driven by passion, innovation and pride. As we prepare to launch our new uniform program - a change that happens only once every 10-15 years - we're seeking an exceptional Senior Change Manager to lead the people side of this high-impact initiative.

This is your chance to shape change that will directly touch the daily experience of over 19,000 Qantas employees and our extended network of partners globally. You'll be creating a visible legacy that will define how our people present themselves to the world for years to come.

About the role:

As Senior Change Manager, you'll develop and deliver a comprehensive change strategy to ensure the successful rollout of new uniforms across the Qantas Group. Working closely with the Senior Program Manager, you'll engage with everyone from crew and frontline staff to business leaders and employee representatives.

What you’ll be doing

  • Designing and implementing end-to-end change management strategies
  • Leading stakeholder engagement across our diverse, geographically dispersed workforce
  • Conducting change impact assessments and developing mitigation strategies
  • Partnering with internal communications on strategic messaging and delivery
  • Driving training needs analysis and capability development
  • Building collaborative relationships with employee representatives and partners
  • Tracking adoption and embedding sustainable change

What you’ll bring

  • 10+ years’ experience, with at least 5 years in dedicated change management roles (ideally people focused)
  • Proven track record in leading large-scale, high-impact organisational change initiatives
  • Strong understanding of change methodologies (e.g., Prosci, APMG certification desirable)
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and facilitation skills
  • Experience engaging remote workforces and navigating industrial complexity
  • High emotional intelligence, strategic thinking, and resilience under pressure
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work across complex matrix environments
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Psychology, Communications or a related field

You’ll be part of a passionate team working on a program that’s not just about uniforms—it’s about identity, culture and how we show up every day. This is a rare opportunity to make a tangible and visible impact at a global scale, with a legacy that will be felt for years to come.

The Qantas employee benefits program offers amazing benefits that extend well beyond travel.

  • We love to travel: Enjoy heavily discounted air travel within Australia and across the globe, both for you and your family and friends, as well as exclusive deals on accommodation and holidays.
  • We have flexible leave options: Make use of leave and flexible working opportunities including 18 weeks paid parental leave (plus superannuation payments on all paid and unpaid parental leave until your child turns 1) and additional purchased leave options for eligible employees.
  • We’ll give you access to thousands of rewards: Through our partnerships we can offer you discounts across shopping, food and wine, insurance, health and wellbeing, leisure and entertainment. You can also take advantage of our salary packaging program including motor vehicles, eligible portable electronic devices and professional memberships.
  • We’ll support your wellbeing: Whether it’s learning to better support your own and others’ mental health, our interactive wellbeing app or your very own tailored nutrition plan.

Qantas is an equal opportunity employer committed to providing a working environment that embraces and values diversity and inclusion. By coming to work for us, you’ll be part of an organisation that encourages diversity, supports charities and environmental initiatives. We encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, and people of all backgrounds to apply. If you have any support or access requirements, we encourage you to advise us at time of application. Your personal information will be kept confidential in compliance with relevant privacy legislation.

If you’re a senior change professional who thrives in complexity and believes in the power of people-led change, we’d love to hear from you.
