As the Trainer & Standardisation Controller Flight Crew, you will be responsible for providing training and onboarding of new team members to the Training Scheduling Team, specialist system expertise supporting the use of the FOX Training Scheduling tool in Qantas Airlines. This includes the creation and maintenance of procedures and training materials, delivering training to new users and providing ongoing end user support and liaising with the Crew Systems team and the Comply365 Customer Success Manager to resolve issues limiting efficient training scheduling.  This role will serve as the Qantas Mainline subject matter expert in coordinating standardisation of FOX training scheduling with other AOCs and ensuring equitable sharing principles are adhered to with Qantas Group Assets managed within FOX.

This role will also be responsible for analysing the effectiveness of the FOX Training Scheduling tool in the planning, monitoring and disruption management of Recurrent Training, Transitional Training, ad hoc training, and Instructor Training whilst also ensuring compliance to both industrial and regulatory instruments.

You’ll have -

  • Extensive experience with people and leadership skills, including the ability to strategically influence others
  • Proven experience leading a change initiative/project and committed to business improvement and process redesign.
  • Experience in developing and implementing strategy within a business unit
  • Ability to apply critical thinking to proposed methodologies and tools
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft office suite with the ability to generate pragmatic solutions to business problems
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to influence and build strong relationships
  • Ability to understand and focus at the technical level with a user-centric approach
  • Proven success in developing, deploying and driving adoption of system and business process changes
  • Ability to interpret complex issues and leverage best practice Fox design
  • Ability to create and maintain accurate / accessible and organized documentation
  • Highly self-motivated with a strong team spirit
  • Ability to identify and support system improvements and opportunities as well as assign priorities where needed
  • Proven track record in communicating requirements both verbally and through user stories, with logical and clear acceptance criteria, that are easily understood by developers, testers, and stakeholders
  • Proven ability to meet goals and deadlines with an excellent attention to detail
  • Able to work with a high degree of autonomy and is proactive
  • Excellent relationship management skills and ability to relate to people at all levels of the organisation
