Join Qantas as a Manager, Sales Development and play a pivotal role in driving the optimisation of our sales performance. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll use performance insights to shape and execute sales activity plans that directly support Qantas Airlines’ annual passenger revenue goals. This role offers the opportunity to influence sales channel and segment outcomes through well-targeted initiatives, aligned with strategic priorities in a dynamic commercial environment. 

As Manager, Sales Development, you’ll assess key opportunities and risks identified by the sales performance team and help design global sales activities that support long-term growth. You’ll contribute to the development of market incentives, campaigns, and offers, ensuring these are implemented effectively in collaboration with stakeholders across Legal, Sales, Distribution, Revenue Management, Marketing, and Loyalty. With a strong focus on empowering channel choice and aligning stakeholder , this role is ideal for a commercially minded professional ready to make a broad impact across the Qantas commercial network. 

You’ll have – 

  • 5+ years’ experience in sales, commercial or business development roles, with tertiary qualifications in business, commerce or related fields. 
  • Proven ability to design and implement successful revenue strategies and campaigns. 
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience navigating complex stakeholder environments. 
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify areas of opportunity or risk through data interpretation.  
  • Capable of delivering actionable insights and recommendations to support effective decision-making. 
  • Highly developed communication, negotiation, and influencing skills at senior levels. 
  • Strong relationship management skills and ability to negotiate outcomes. 
  • Results-driven with a focus on exceeding goals and delivering value. 
  • Solid presentation skills and understanding of social media strategies. 
  • Airline or travel industry experience, and knowledge of Qantas products and pricing (desirable).
