Job Description

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the Creative Studio, managing workflow, resource allocation, and the end-to-end delivery of creative and marketing materials
  • Act as the primary liaison for internal stakeholders, ensuring prioritisation of work, clear communication, and timely delivery of high-quality assets across multiple channels
  • Permanent position based at our Mascot Campus

Today, we’re busy planning for tomorrow. We look to the future to guide the way we innovate, helping us stay relevant and responsive in an unpredictable industry. We’ve always been pioneers, and we’re proud to see that spirit in our people. Our resilience has helped us through good and tough times, and it still drives us to keep pushing the challenging expectations today.

The Traffic Manager & Print Producer is a key member of our fast-paced internal Creative Studio. As a ‘gate keeper’ to our creative teams, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day workflow of the Creative Studio and managing the end-to-end delivery of all creative and marketing materials for the Qantas Group.

Acting as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, this role ensures efficient engagement with the Creative Studio. Key responsibilities include prioritising briefs and tasks in alignment with business objectives and ROI, allocating resources across design, copy, video, and photography teams, and managing workflows to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of all projects. The Traffic Manager & Print Producer plays a central role in keeping creative and production teams on schedule, communicating project status to stakeholders, and ensuring all deliverables meet deadlines and quality standards. This includes coordination with media outlets, publishers, and print vendors.

To succeed in this role, strong project, time, and stakeholder management skills are essential, along with a deep understanding of creative processes—including copywriting, graphic design, and video and photography production. The ability to accurately scope creative hours, manage expectations, and remain composed under pressure is critical. Core to the role is the effective management of resourcing and scheduling, as well as overseeing print production. This includes managing the production process, final approvals, and timely delivery of assets for print and press advertising (e.g., newspapers, magazines, direct mail), out-of-home (OOH) placements, and Qantas-owned media spaces such as long-term holdings (LTH).

The role also involves optimising resource allocation—across full-time employees and contract graphic designers—to ensure the Creative Studio is properly staffed to meet the diverse creative demands of Qantas business units.

You’ll have –

  • Minimum 7 years full-time experience in a studio, agency, or in-house environment producing print and digital collateral
  • Tertiary qualification in a related degree highly regarded
  • Strong creative and/or marketing delivery background with a minimum of 7 years’
experience/background in relevant role(s); creative agency experience is desired.
  • Results-oriented with a strong focus on delivering high-impact, measurable outcomes across creative and operational initiatives.
  • Experienced leader with a proven track record in building, mentoring, and managing high-performing cross-functional teams.
  • Strong project management capabilities, including workflow optimisation, planning, resource scheduling, and deadline management.
  • Effective stakeholder manager, skilled at influencing and aligning diverse stakeholders to achieve positive business outcomes.
  • Clear and confident communicator, capable of guiding stakeholders through complex creative processes with clarity and professionalism.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to navigate challenges in fast-paced environments.
  • Proficient in prioritising and managing multiple projects under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
  • Comprehensive understanding of end-to-end creative production, including design, copywriting, artwork, photography, and video.
  • Highly organised and detail-focused, ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of creative assets across various platforms.
  • Collaborative and proactive team player with a growth mindset, always open to feedback and committed to continuous improvement.
