Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist – Customer, Cabin Crew & Campaigns

  1. Qantas Airways Limited
Posted date: 29 September 2025

Job Description

  • Lead a team of recruiters delivering high-volume recruitment across some of our most visible and customer-facing portfolios.
  • Use your coaching, mentoring and stakeholder management skills to drive quality outcomes and support team development.
  • Permanent opportunity based in Sydney, with regular travel to support assessment centres across Australia & New Zealand.

At Qantas, we represent Australia to the world. We’re known for our spirit, mateship and a can-do attitude.  We’re constantly evolving, and this means the opportunities for our people are endless. There’s opportunity to embrace personal development and career growth, own projects and make an impact.

We’re looking for a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our Campaigns team in a permanent role, leading a team of three recruiters focused on high-volume hiring across Cabin Crew and Customer portfolios.

This role will initially focus on supporting recruitment for Jetstar, QantasLink, Network Aviation Australia (NAA), and Jetconnect, working closely with stakeholders across these brands to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes. While the immediate focus is on Cabin Crew and Customer roles, our team supports recruitment across a range of portfolios within the Qantas Group, so there’s scope for your remit to evolve in line with business needs and team priorities.

As a Senior TA Specialist, you’ll oversee end-to-end recruitment activity with a strong focus on candidate experience, compliance, and continuous improvement. You’ll play a hands-on role in planning and facilitating assessment centres across multiple locations, managing calibration sessions with senior stakeholders, and ensuring consistent, high-quality service delivery.

You’ll also support reporting, talent community engagement, and the development of your team through coaching, mentoring, and day-to-day guidance. This is a great opportunity for someone with leadership capability – whether formal or informal – who’s ready to step into a role where they can influence, support, and drive outcomes.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Experience in high-volume recruitment, with a strong understanding of end-to-end processes, compliance requirements, and recruitment SLAs
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor and support others – whether formally or as a team player who goes above and beyond
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to lead calibration sessions and represent Talent Acquisition with confidence
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities, troubleshoot issues, and deliver solutions in a fast-paced environment
  • A commitment to candidate care, ensuring applicants receive timely updates and regular communication as they move through the recruitment funnel
  • Confidence managing large talent pools, with a focus on daily upkeep, clean data, and proactive engagement with dormant candidates
  • Experience using recruitment systems – familiarity with SmartRecruiters is advantageous, but experience with any ATS or CRM is essential
  • High attention to detail and confidence using MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting and documentation
  • A collaborative, supportive and positive approach, with a focus on quality, continuous improvement, and team success
  • Flexibility to travel regularly to support assessment centres across multiple locations

Qantas is an equal opportunity employer committed to providing a working environment that embraces and values diversity and inclusion. If you have any support or access requirements, we encourage you to advise us at the time of application. We are committed to creating an inclusive workplace. Talk to us about how this job could be flexible for you.
