As a Senior Advisor People, you will partner with the People Community in delivering generalist HR support across a portfolio of departments within the Qantas Group business.  A trusted partner of the HRBP’s and Business Unit managers, who provide advice and support on people matters. This role also contributes to business unit and broader Qantas Group initiatives and supports implementation.

In this role you will:

  • Partner and advise with the People Community to deliver high-quality, generalist HR support across diverse business units.
  • Coach and support leaders on crucial conversations, organisational change, and employee lifecycle matters.
  • Drive improvements by utilising Workday processes and tools, supporting change programs, and contributing to people initiatives.
  • Apply your expertise across a range of HR activities, from policy advice and workforce planning to program implementation.
  • Shape employee experience by fostering positive relationships, building leadership capability, and ensuring consistency in people practices.


To be successful in this role, you’ll have:

  • 3–5 years’ generalist HR or related experience.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Demonstrated capability in managing projects, handling competing priorities and delivering outcomes in time-sensitive operational environments.
  • Experience supporting change, coaching managers, and building organisational capability.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the confidence to provide clear, well-reasoned advice.
  • Sound judgement, adaptability, and a collaborative approach to problem solving.
