As the Regional Manager SA & NT, you will be responsible for driving the development and expansion of commercial partnerships, ensuring Qantas Group sales targets are achieved. You will be responsible for leading the Sales strategy in both regions, ensuing they are aligned with the broader long- and short-term business strategy. You will oversee the development and implementation of sales and distribution initiatives across SA & NT, including strategically managing relationships with external customers. You will drive the management of the Sales team to optimise revenue at every opportunity, negotiate to get outcomes and maximise available resources.

To be successful in this role you will be required to build and establish close relationships with key customers and airline partners, ensuring continuous customer satisfaction. You will also be required to maintain internal stakeholder relationships, working closely with the broader business whilst also managing and mentoring direct reports.

You’ll have –

  • Extensive experience in the Airline or Travel industry
  • Demonstrated experience in strategy development and implementation, with consideration for and understanding of change management methodologies
  • Strong commercial acumen with a well-developed understanding of strategic, financial, technological and business issues
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results within a complex business environment with varying stakeholder needs and expectations
  • Experience managing external vendors and suppliers, including contract negotiations
  • Ability to grow and handle the increasing complexities of the Travel industry
  • Strong knowledge of the Qantas sales organisational direction and goals
  • Strong industry and corporate sales experience and knowledge
  • Proven strong analytical skills with the ability to handle complexity and think broadly, with attention to detail
  • Well-developed communication, inter-personal and presentation skills
