Job Description

Network Aviation is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Qantas Group, providing high-capacity air charter and regular passenger transport services. We operate a fleet of aircraft from our base at Perth Airport, and we specialise in mining industry support, regional airline services, routine and emergency freight and corporate charter flying.

Reporting to the Head of Safety, the Manager, Safety Systems is responsible for the effective oversight of the Network Aviation Safety Management System (SMS). This role plays a key part in identifying and embedding safety improvements and enhancing emergency response capabilities within the SMS. It also leads the integration of human factors and actively supports the development and promotion of a strong safety culture, in collaboration with the Safety, Health, Security, and Sustainability (SHSS) team. Additionally, the Manager provides leadership and day-to-day direction to the Coordinator, Safety Management System, ensuring their work aligns with broader safety objectives and operational priorities. You’ll have –

  • 3-5 years’ experience working with safety management systems
  • Tertiary training in Safety/Engineering/Management
  • Demonstrated experience in both change and crisis management
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills, with an ability to generate pragmatic solutions to joint business problems
  • Strong ability to communicate and influence across all levels of organisations
  • Excellent eye for detail – accuracy and thoroughness
