We’re seeking motivated individuals interested in becoming Mechanical Fitters within our Component Maintenance workshops. This apprenticeship is part of a four-year program, focused on developing trade-specific skills through theoretical training with our RTO partners, in-house courses, and practical on-the-job experience.

As a Mechanical Fitter, you’ll rotate through workshop areas relevant to your trade, gaining hands-on experience in manufacturing and repairing aircraft components to high tolerances. You’ll work with advanced machinery such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and CNC equipment, and handle a variety of materials including aluminium alloys, stainless steel, titanium, and more. This is a fantastic opportunity to build a strong foundation for a career in aviation manufacturing and component engineering.

You’ll have – 

  • A demonstrated mechanical aptitude with an eagerness to learn a hands-on trade 
  • A proactive attitude toward learning and applying safe work practices
  • A high level of motivation and passion to want to be part of the aviation sector 
  • Exceptional teamwork 
  • Excellent communications skills both verbal and written 
  • Good hand skills with the ability to use a variety of tooling 
  • Australian Citizenship or hold Australian Permanent Residency Status 
  • Ability to work all shift patterns 
  • Must be available to start work from early 2026
