The Product Specialist, Preflight Products will be responsible for driving commercial performance and managing the product lifecycle by improving customer experience, guiding product development, working collaboratively with internal stakeholders, and engaging with external partners. Working alongside the Senior Manager you will own the development and refinement of the short to medium term product strategy and roadmap for Qantas Transport (Car Hire, Transfers, Valet), and work on innovation and new opportunities across the Preflight Products portfolio. Acting as the product lead and voice of customer on complex initiatives, you will use strengths in collaboration and analytical capabilities to influence and guide stakeholders to deliver improvements to the customer experience whilst realising strong commercial outcomes.

To be considered for this role you will have:

  • 5+ years’ experience in product management, strategy, or analyst role with a preference for service / customer-centric industries.
  • Tertiary qualifications in business, commerce or related field.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to proactively manage commercial performance and develop compelling business cases. 
  • Sound understanding of the fundamentals of customer experience and the interrelations with commercial outcomes.
  • Experience working with external partners, including the ability to influence and drive positive outcomes. 
  • Strong stakeholder collaboration skills, with the ability to influence in the decision-making process (both technical and non-technical).
  • Product management experience, including product strategy, innovation and new product development. 
  • A customer-centric mindset, with experience in customer leadership, including insights, service design and advocacy. 
  • Critical and strategic thinking skills to challenge assumptions in order to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and autonomously often with incomplete and imperfect information and problem solve accordingly.
