As the Manager, Continuous Improvement, you will lead the delivery of the Continuous Improvement (Ci) strategy for Qantas Airports and develop and implement a Continuous Improvement framework. In this role you will be responsible for identifying, designing, and delivering process improvements and efficiency initiatives across airport and airline operations.

The role will develop and lead the program for Ci engaging with all airport employees to contribute ideas and suggestions for business improvements, using data to support the case for change. You’ll partner closely with the Airport Services process and procedure team to support transformation targets and long-term Airports Strategy, as well as ensuring standards are always in existence and maintained including conducting project reviews and retrospectives.

Reporting to the Head of Change and Business Improvement, this role will provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to the senior leadership team to ensure growth, development and high performance in Continuous Improvement outcomes. In addition, you’ll deliver significant benefits through proactive identification of new opportunities and enabling the business to break down complex problems whilst identifying true root cause and ways to solve them.
 

You’ll have –

  • 5+ years of continuous improvement experience within a complex matrixed organisation
  • Proven experience and understanding of continuous improvement methodologies including Lean Six Sigma would be highly desirable
  • Demonstrated history in project delivery experience that has delivered bottom line, customer and employee benefits
  • Strong coaching and development skills to assist in delivering outcomes
  • Positive approach to problem solving and the capacity to produce results within
    specific timeframes
  • Ability to influence and build relationships with key stakeholders at senior management and all levels of the organisation
  • Working knowledge and relevant experience of Industrial Relations processes and requirements
  • Ability to effectively communicate and present complex information tailored to a non-technical audience with a structured and organised approach
  • Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality
