Qantas is seeking a Specialist, Aircraft Cabin Product to spearhead the development and lifecycle management of cutting-edge cabin products that elevate the customer experience and align with commercial, customer, and financial objectives. This pivotal role is integral to Qantas' ambition to enhance its brand through premium aircraft interiors. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Product – Cabin Development, you will lead both linefit and retrofit projects, playing a crucial role in delivering cabin solutions that meet stringent safety, regulatory, industrial, and performance standards. Experience in cabin development and airline customer experience are highly advantageous for this position.

You will conduct in-depth analyses of market trends, customer and crew feedback, and competitor benchmarks to identify product opportunities and formulate strategic proposals. Collaborating cross-functionally with teams such as Engineering, Design, and Cabin Condition—as well as external suppliers—you will also oversee and own projects from concept through to in-service delivery. A strong emphasis on stakeholder collaboration, schedule adherence, and anticipating future cabin needs will be key to your success in delivering products that shape the perception of the Qantas brand.

You’ll have: 

  • 5+ years professional work experience 
  • Understanding of airline products and how cabin products interact with service delivery and airline operations 
  • Experience in the aviation industry or product management is preferred. 
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to make informed trade-offs 
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, including slide presentations 
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills 
  • Project management experience and ability to manage competing priorities 
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external vendors
