As the Senior Regulatory and Safety Specialist, you’ll be responsible for providing specialist regulatory support to Qantas Engineering and Express Freighters operations including Design, Continuing Airworthiness Management, Aircraft Maintenance, Manufacturing and Technical Training. In this role, you will offer technical and hands-on support for various compliance and regulatory management activities, including the implementation of safety programs and the processes for aircraft entry into service and retirement. Reporting into the Manager Regulatory Implementation and Support, you will collaborate closely with internal operational stakeholders as well as Australian aviation authorities, international aviation authorities and government regulatory departments to ensure adherence to all aviation regulatory requirements.

What you’ll bring to the role:

• 5+ years experience working in an operational aviation environment
• High level understanding and practical knowledge of CASA regulations Part 21, 42, 145, and 147
• Sound knowledge of the Aviation Regulatory Framework is essential
• Professional aviation management or safety qualifications, including Lead Auditor is highly regarded
• Process driven, with experience in constructing new processes to deliver business goals.
• Highly motivated and committed to continuous improvement.
• A combination of well- developed project management, planning and analytical skills. 
• Ability to work effectively both autonomously and collaboratively
