  • Full time permanent position based at our LAX hangar
  • Pay range $200,000-$225,000USD per year (plus bonus)

As the Senior Regional Manager – Engineering, you will lead and manage all aspects of Qantas Engineering operations across the Americas. This includes overseeing engineering and maintenance activities throughout the US, Canada, and any future expansion into South America. You’ll be responsible for both Qantas Engineering (Americas) operational teams and contractor relationships, ensuring operations run within budget while meeting all safety, regulatory, service, and policy standards.

 

You’ll have:

  • 15+ years experience with a focus on leading aircraft maintenance operations teams in an aviation industry
  • Relevant tertiary level qualifications in engineering
  • Proven expertise in airline operations, aircraft maintenance, and/or continuing airworthiness. 
  • Strong track record in organisational leadership, project and change management, people management, and commercial negotiations. 
  • Extensive experience managing and leading within highly complex environments. 
  • Demonstrated relationship-building and influencing skills, with the ability to foster trust and engagement across all levels of the business. 
  • Thorough understanding of CASA, EASA or FAA and international airport regulations
  • Proven ability to lead, develop, and inspire high-performing teams in operational settings. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of management, both internally and externally
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results within a complex business environment with varying stakeholder needs and expectations
