The Senior Manager Digital - Group is a role which will work across all of Digital and Direct Customer Experience that can apply to a number of disciplines (e.g. Book and Manage Flights) where multiple teams are required to manage a portfolio of products that stretch across the Group, including Airline and Loyalty. This role is responsible for setting the Group-level vision and strategic direction for a strategic theme or suite of products within a Domain across Airline and Loyalty.

This position will manage and influence Qantas Group senior leadership stakeholders (Executive Managers and Head Ofs across Airline and Loyalty) and external stakeholders. They are leaders with a customer centric mentality, are data driven, foster an innovative mindset and lead through a culture of continuous improvement of the customer experience and the way the squads within their portfolio operate to maximise outcomes for the customer and the organisation. 
The role specifically requires a high level of collaboration and influence skills at all levels and particularly with senior management, the ability to drive outcomes and influence required decisions from senior management to achieve those outcomes, the capacity to communicate with senior management and the ability to independently lead teams, establish and drive significant commercial
outcomes.
The Senior Manager Digital - Group is accountable for the delivery and execution of the strategy to customers, with ultimate authority on the Group-level holistic roadmap for their area of accountability within a Domain across Airline and Loyalty. The role is responsible for a Product Team made up of multiple squads reporting directly to them as well as up to a team of Senior Managers with their own squads of up to 10-15 people. 
 

You’ll have:

  • 10 years’ experience including 5 years of senior executive leadership experience in large, complex matrix organisation and with at least 5 years as the top-level owner of a distinct product or product line. 
  • 6+ years in customer / commercial environment preferred 
  • 3+ years in Sales, Marketing, Product preferred  
  • Tertiary educated with significant industry experience; revenue management experience preferred
  • Significant experience in leadership and management 
  • Experience leading medium to large multi-disciplinary teams, building a team oriented, collaborative, agile environment 
  • Strong understanding of target customer experience segments and needs 
  • Strategic mindset and ability to communicate vision 
  • Excellent communicator, collaborator, with high emotional intelligence to help steer
    product teams to positive outcomes 
  • Experience in financial and performance criteria management 
  • Experience in data analytics and insights 
  • Proven internal and external influencing skills at senior and executive management levels
  • Experience in facilitating change, including collaboration with management stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective partnerships with product owners across business lines 
  • Demonstrate previous practical success in a large Agile environment 
  • Deep knowledge in customer and product discovery, implementation and measurement processes
