The Senior Manager, Psychosocial Health & Safety is a leadership role and is accountable for the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the Qantas Group
Psychosocial Health & Safety management program. The role is also responsible for the design and delivery of controls for identified Psychosocial Hazards and Risks that exist across the Qantas Group. 
 
The role will be responsible for collaborating and consulting with other Group and AOC functions to design fit for purpose control solutions at both an enterprise and functional level, while supporting implementation through a business partnering approach. This role
is responsible for SME thought leadership in the area of Psychosocial Health and Safety

You’ll have –

  • Minimum 10 years WHS management experience with a focus on leading
    multidisciplinary strategies in complex environments
  • Bachelor qualification in WHS, Business, Human Resources, Organisational
    Psychology, Psychology or Coaching is desired
  • Experience in strategy design and implementation
  • Experience in safety program design and implementation
  • Experience in people management and leadership, both direct and indirect
  • Experience in Project Management and Program Design and Delivery 
  • This is a senior leadership role which requires a high level of SME knowledge, strong
    influencing, coaching and change management experience
  • Strong track record in delivering results in complex environments across multiple
    stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to design, plan, implement and
    influence for success.
  • Well developed communications skills
  • Capability to build and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder
    relationships.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, in particular the ability to interpret data.
  • Actively demonstrates and facilitates collaboration.
  • Highly skilled in managing a variety of tasks simultaneously in the face of changing
    priorities and requirements, whilst maintaining a strong attention to detail.
  • Experience of process simplification to identify inefficiencies. 
  • Strong experience in influencing key decision makers in the face of resistance to
    achieve problem resolution. Exhibit a high level of emotional intelligence,
    understanding and positivity
  • Working knowledge of Workers Compensation, WHS, industrial relations practices
    and human resources policies and procedures
