The Senior Manager, Marketing and Communications leads Qantas Freight Marketing to drive and support achievement of Freight strategic outcomes through customer engagement and digital marketing for Australia and global regions.
 
Leading a team of specialists to deliver Marketing Strategies and initiatives, including identification of new opportunities to drive revenue or brand affinity, through deep consideration of customer insights and business priorities, ensuring strong return on investment outcomes that deliver value for Qantas Freight, and enhance customer demand of Qantas Freight’s products/services.
 
As a commercially driven Marketing function, the role has a focus on revenue and cost transformation to deliver business outcomes, together with a sustainable competitive advantage, prioritising investment that drives revenue and/or builds on brand trust across all stakeholders including employees, customers, shareholders and investors.

As a key business unit within the Qantas Group, this role will have a dual reporting line into Group Marketing to ensure effective alignment with the Group marketing strategy and centralised resources.

You’ll have –

  • 10+ years relevant professional experience
  • Tertiary Qualification in Marketing is required, post graduate qualifications is desirable
  • Strong commercial acumen 
  • Thorough understanding of the marketing discipline and processes
  • A thought-leader with a passion for developing innovative marketing solutions using
    data, insights and experience.
  • Proven track record in delivering outstanding results in a complex, high paced
    business environment
  • Proven experience in leading a team, building a team oriented, collaborative culture
    within an agile environment 
  • Proven track record in developing strong working relationships with all stakeholders
  • Well-developed business planning, implementation and communication skills within
    an organisational context
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and in person to executive level
    audiences
  • Ability to influence senior management and stakeholders
  • Relevant track record in delivering results in a complex environment across multiple
    stakeholders
