Takeoff with your next opportunity

Lead Jetstar’s inflight retail product, business, strategy, and transformation across all airlines and markets. The Senior Manager, Inflight Retail role is accountable for a significant revenue and cost portfolio and is responsible for delivering scalable, profitable, and customer-centric inflight experiences. You will shape the future of onboard retail through innovation, strategic partnerships, and commercial excellence.

As of Senior Manager, Inflight Retail, your focus will include:

  • Develop and lead the inflight product strategy across the Jetstar customer journey, including food & beverage, inflight entertainment, inflight connectivity, merchandise, and Business Class products.
  • Design programs and take P&L ownership of inflight products, managing revenue, cost and margin and ensuring delivery to budget and forecasts.
  • Adapt product strategies to changing customer and environmental conditions
  • Identify opportunities to improve in-flight P&L performance and actively manage levers to achieve profit improvements.
  • Deliver profitable, consistent, and seamless in-flight product experiences across the Jetstar Group – Jetstar Australia & New Zealand and Jetstar Japan.
  • Leverage partner management skills to ensure the right models and vendors are in place, and actively manage the health of these partnerships.
  • Lead contract negotiation and partner liaison, building strong relationships with stakeholders across Jetstar, Qantas, and external partners.
  • Foster collaboration across internal and external stakeholders to improve customer, commercial, and operational outcomes.

About You

We’re searching for someone who:

  • 10+ years of experience in product management and supplier/partner management roles.
  • 3+ years of direct team management and leadership experience.
  • Airline experience preferred.
  • Tertiary qualifications in business, commerce, or marketing (desirable).
  • Experience managing complex commercial negotiations.
  • Experience in managing large transitional projects from ideation to decision.
  • Strategic thinking and analytically minded with exposure to research data and insights.
  • Strong project and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate, and build positive working relationships.
