The Senior Manager, Digital – Book and Manage Experience, will drive and lead continuous improvement and maintenance of product, program and/or services; to achieve further cost reductions and/or revenue maximisation outcomes for the business and ongoing delivery. You will be responsible for leading a team of Product Owners looking after both the legacy ‘Manage Booking’ experiences in the current technology stack as well as delivering the new end-to-end ‘Book and Manage’ experiences in the Decoupling Project. 

To be successful in the role, you will be a strong people leader with a customer centric mentality, data driven, foster an innovative mindset, exceptional at stakeholder collaboration, lead through a culture of continuous improvement of the customer experience and the way the squads within your portfolio operate to maximise outcomes for the customer and the Qantas group.  

You’ll have – 

  • 8+ years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years as the top-level owner of a distinct product or product line 
  • 6+ years in a customer/commercial environment  
  • 3+ years of leadership and management experience  
  • 3+ years in Sales, Marketing and/or Product 
  • Tertiary qualification with significant industry experience; revenue management experience preferred 
  • Experience in developing customer facing websites a must have 
  • Significant experience in Airline or Travel industry preferred, with Amadeus Airline Technology experience highly regarded 
  • Experience leading medium to large multi-disciplinary teams, building a team oriented, collaborative, agile environment  
  • Strong understanding of target customer experience segments and needs  
  • Strategic mindset and ability to communicate vision  
  • Excellent communicator, collaborator, with high emotional intelligence to help steer product teams to positive outcomes  
  • Experience in financial and performance criteria management  
  • Experience in data analytics and insights  
  • Proven internal and external influencing skills at senior and executive management levels  
  • Experience in facilitating change, including collaboration with management stakeholders  
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective partnerships with product owners across business lines  
  • Demonstrate previous practical success in a large Agile environment  
  • Deep knowledge in customer and product discovery, implementation and measurement processes
