The SEM Analyst plays an important role in the overall channel strategy of businesses within Qantas. The SEM Analyst is responsible for the development, creation, execution & optimisation of a select number paid search campaigns across Google & Microsoft. Reporting to the SEM Lead, the SEM Analyst is responsible for day to day performance and optimisation of the search campaigns. The SEM Analyst will operate as part of a larger team, with interactions with key stakeholders across various aspects of the business.

You’ll bring:

  • 3+ years of Search Engine Marketing experience (strategy + execution) with hands-on experience in platforms like Google Ads, Microsoft Ads and bid management tools like SA360.
  • 2-3 years track record of complete accountability for client management for all search related marketing
  • Experience working with complex product feeds, SA360 inventory templates, web analytics, floodlight custom variables preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data visualisation tools like Google Data Studio.
  • Both internal and external stakeholder management skills, founded on the ability to build long term and valuable relationships
  • Sound understanding of the digital advertising space, with experience in relevant role
  • Proven experience in the understanding and use of technologies associated with targeted digital advertising, the display environment and ad networks, DSPs, online measurement, ad operations and delivery and both internal and external stakeholder management skills
  • Strong analytical skills and demonstrated aptitude for campaigns reporting and insights
  • Strong numerical skills & a high degree of competency in understanding & calculating metrics
  • Ability to manage client campaigns and rapidly learn and adjust to new concepts, technologies and capabilities
  • Strong communication skills, with an ability to manage stakeholders of varying levels and experience through complex processes and engagements
