The Revenue Management team is responsible for maximizing seat revenue on every flight, every day, within the Jetstar route network. The group is comprised of two teams Revenue Management and Pricing, that work closely together to ensure that Jetstar is selling the optimal number of seats across the spectrum of prices available based on customer demand.

We currently have an opportunity for a commercially driven individual to join our Revenue Management Team as a Senior Flight Analyst. The key function of this role is to develop and implement yield & seat factor management strategies to optimise the passenger revenue performance for Jetstar's commercial flights. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about the aviation industry, have strong numerical and analytical skills and the ability to drive business solutions based on sound analysis. You will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, be a team player and have strong communication skills.

Reporting to the Manager - Revenue Management Asia, the key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Develops and implements Jetstar’s yield & seat factor management strategies within a portfolio of markets and is responsible for revenue performance of those markets.
  • Supports managers in creation of the regional revenue management strategies.
  • Effectively communicates revenue performance and competitive market dynamics to leadership.
  • Guides a team of analysts, and ensures they have the right training and tools to do the best job they can.
  • Works closely with other members of the commercial team to ensure revenue targets are met.
  • Supports the Networks team with analysis on schedule & network changes.
  • Takes independent responsibility for the planning and delivery of key team projects.
  • Assists in the development and testing of new and current inventory management processes and systems. 
  • Consistently looks for opportunities to improve our processes and make our day-to-day job more efficient.

To be considered for this role you will have:

  • A Degree in business/finance/commerce preferred.
  • Previous revenue management experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and commercial acumen.
  • Well- developed numerical/analytical skills.
  • Advanced Excel & PowerBI skills preferred.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Time management and organisational abilities.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and with minimal supervision.
