The Manager, Quality & Policy is a strategic leadership role focused on customer experience, policy development, and regulatory compliance across the Jetstar Group. Key responsibilities include implementing and refining commercial policies. The role also oversees Jetstar’s response to global and domestic regulatory changes, ensuring compliance and alignment with industry standards. Additionally, it drives the development of a quality assurance framework to enhance service excellence.

A core focus is leading Jetstar’s Access and Inclusion Plan, managing key initiatives, and reporting progress to Qantas Group stakeholders. The role is also responsible for identifying and mitigating business risks, implementing remediation strategies to minimise impact. With a strong customer-first approach, this position ensures alignment of customer policies and procedures across Jetstar and the broader Qantas Group, balancing regulatory, operational, and commercial priorities.

The core responsibilities of this role will be:

  • Lead Jetstar’s Access and Inclusion Plan, managing initiatives and reporting progress.
  • Develop and align customer policies with regulatory and business objectives.
  • Identifying, assessing, and mitigate key business risks with remediation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with evolving regulations, including aviation charters.
  • Align customer policies and procedures across Jetstar and Qantas Group.
  • Balance regulatory, operational, and commercial priorities with a customer-first approach.
  • Develop reporting mechanisms to track policy effectiveness and risk management.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance customer experience and operational resilience.

To be considered, key skills will include: 

  • Experience in the aviation industry, with regulatory and policy knowledge desirable.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant business discipline; MBA highly regarded.
  • Background in legal, quality, or compliance management desirable.
  • Expertise in policy development, risk, and compliance management.
  • Strong leadership experience in customer experience and transformation.
  • Proven ability to execute access and inclusion plans.
  • Excellent communication skills across all organisational levels.
  • Analytical, data-driven thinker with a focus on innovation and improvement.
