Senior Financial Analyst

• Take ownership of month-end close for your business portfolio
• Work with Group Finance and your Finance Business Partners to build annual budgets, refresh monthly forecasts, and related reporting within our Workforce portfolio
• 2 x 6 month fixed-term positions based at Qantas Head Office in Mascot (potential opportunity to extend) -1 x Regionals Workforce & 1 x Airports

The Centre of Financial Excellence (COFE) is a service responsible for ensuring financial processes and reporting are standardised, controlled and efficiently executed across the Group. On a day-to-day basis, our Financial Control Teams, working in a centralised Finance function, support the various Finance Business Partner Teams and the business to drive effective decision-making.

As the Senior Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for month-end close, assisting with forecasting and reporting, analysis and advice on all financial aspects across the Workforce portfolio.

You’ll have –

• Professional accounting qualifications (CA/CPA qualified)
• Experience in a financial accounting role, with 5+ years’ experience
• Strong communication skills with stakeholders at all levels
• Strong attention to detail, working with large volumes of, often complex, data
• Motivated self-starter with questioning mind/ analytical skills
• Able to provide value-add analysis and advice
• Able to work under time pressure and reprioritise when required
• High level of accountability and resilience
