The Senior Ad Tech Specialist is a critical role within Qantas's Digital Advertising team, acting as the expert on our advertising technology stack and its integration within the wider digital ecosystem. You will be supporting the integration, implementation, measurement and maintenance of our Ad Tech platforms, ensuring seamless data flow, accurate performance measurement, and optimal platform performance.

In this role, you will:

  • Support  the technical design, configuration, implementation  and optimisation of our Ad Tech platforms, with a strong  focus on the Google Marketing Platform (DV360, CM360, SA360), Meta, The Trade Desk and LiveRamp.
  • Collaborate with data, engineering, and media teams to ensure seamless integration, accurate tracking and actionable insights.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues, manage platform partners and vendors, and keep us at the forefront of innovation in the digital ad tech space.
  • Translate business goals into technical execution with a strong focus on effectiveness and efficiency processes.
  • Identify and implement emerging Ad Tech solutions to drive incremental commercial performance across Qantas Loyalty and Group brands.

You’ll bring:

Essential:

  • 4+ years in digital advertising or Ad Tech, ideally with exposure to enterprise-level ad operations.
  • Deep knowledge of the Ad Tech ecosystem: ad servers, DSPs (DV360, The Trade Desk), SSPs, DMPs, measurement tools.
  • Hands-on experience with The Trade Desk and Google Marketing Platform tools including Tag Manager, CM360, DV360, GA4, and SA360.
  • Proficiency in digital tracking, HTML5/JavaScript for floodlight tag implementation, and cloud-based data environments (e.g., GCP or AWS).
  • Ability to rapidly learn and adjust to new concepts, technologies and capabilities.
  • Excellent people skills, ability to work with diverse personality types and influence key stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of the digital media ecosystem and media landscape in Australia, keeping up to date with industry changes.
  • Strong organisational skills, with proven ability to develop and implement processes.
  • Strong communication skills, able to engage senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with platforms like LiveRamp, Tableau, Supermetrics.
  • Experience working with data clean rooms and brand safety tools.
  • Understanding of privacy-first data practices and digital compliance.
