Qantas Network Planning is responsible for designing and managing the airline’s flight network to meet customer demand, support operational requirements, and deliver commercial results. The team works across the business to analyse market trends, assess performance, and implement schedule changes that align with Qantas’ strategic goals. Whether adjusting existing routes or planning new opportunities, Network Planning plays a critical role in shaping how and where Qantas operates.

As a Schedule Planner - Schedule Variations, you will develop and implement changes to the Qantas flight schedule to optimise customer demand, resourcing, and operational constraints. Working closely with commercial and operational teams, you’ll ensure schedules are feasible, commercially sound and aligned with strategic goals. Key responsibilities include analysing scheduling scenarios, securing airport slots, attending industry conferences, publishing accurate schedules, and coordinating codeshare services.

You’ll have –

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in business, commerce, or a related field (preferred)
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and numerical skills
  • Effective communicator with ability to influence diverse stakeholders
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Proficiency in schedule planning tools and systems (e.g. Airvision, Schedule and Slot Manager)
