As a Market Pricing Specialist, you will be responsible for developing, executing and measuring network revenue outcomes through the development of competitive pricing strategies at a market level. You will have accountability for:

  • Identifying opportunities and threats by analysing competitor, external and internal data;
  • Developing pricing strategies to generate incremental revenue and a competitive advantage;
  • Working with Demand Forecasting Specialists, Route Performance Analysts and Inventory / Market Managers with a focus on competitive analysis and market/route performance to optimise network revenue;
  • Driving ongoing innovation and improvement for the Revenue Management department;
  • Collaborating across the Revenue Management team and stakeholders to identify and leverage pricing and inventory opportunities;
  • Creating new fare products to capitalise on consumer buying habits and the economic environment within assigned markets; and
  • Supporting, coaching and mentoring pricing teams in the execution of market specific pricing strategies and operations

To be successful in this position you must have a commercial mindset and strong confidence with stakeholder management, backed by an ability to proactively seek out solutions and look at the bigger picture. In addition, you will have:

  • 5 Years + experience in an airline revenue management department
  • Tertiary qualifications in Aviation, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Finance or similar disciplines;
  • Strong conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • An ability in modelling to evaluate numerical data and market intelligence and present results in simple understandable terms with clear recommendations on actions;
  • Prior experience in airline, pricing or revenue management function (highly beneficial);
  • Exceptional communication skills at all levels;
  • Proven ability to build constructive and effective working relationships; and
  • Experience with data visualisation using PowerBI and SQL queries and proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
