Job Description

  • Challenge yourself to manage all key lounge development projects and programs
  • Together we'll ensure successful delivery of all customer and operational activities
  • 24 month contract role based at our Head Office in Mascot

The Project Manager, Lounge Development is responsible for project managing all customer and operational readiness activities for Qantas’ key lounge development programs.  

The role will oversee multiple programs simultaneously through their entire project lifecycles, from concept design through to implementation and operational readiness activities, collaborating with a cross functional stakeholder group of internal partners and external consultants to ensure successful delivery of each program on time and to budget. This is a 24 month fixed term role.  

You'll have: 

  • 5-10 years' experience in project management, preferably in construction, interior design or airport environments. 
  • Tertiary qualifications in project management, construction management, architecture or equivalent. 
  • Proven experience in delivering complex, high-profile infrastructure or interior design projects with significant customer and operational readiness activities 
  • Strong understanding of project delivery and program governance frameworks. 
  • Experience managing budgets exceeding $5M and coordinating multiple stakeholders. 
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills with strong attention to detail. 
  • Superior communication and negotiation skills to effectively work with contractors, consultants and internal teams. 
  • Strong commercial acumen with a track record of efficient budget management.
