Our ability to stand the test of time has been no coincidence.  Every challenge motivates us to raise the bar, making each tomorrow brighter for our people and our customers.

Fueled by a passion for sustainability, our procurement and supply chain teams rise to meet the diverse needs of the Qantas Group, all while unlocking maximum value from our strategic supplier partnerships.

As a Portfolio Manager – Procurement (Aircraft Equipment & Maintenance Services), you’ll be at the forefront of complex, high-value sourcing initiatives that demand executive-level engagement.  You’ll lead a talented team of Category Managers and Specialists, each responsible for strategic supplier subsets.  Your expertise in both contract management and supplier relationship management will be essential to ensuring supplier performance, driving continuous improvement, and achieving outstanding outcomes for the business.

What you bring to the table:

  • 10+ years’ proven experience in commercial roles within major multinational organisations
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or MCIPS highly regarded

  • Top-tier stakeholder management, including effective engagement with C-suite executives
  • Advanced negotiation skills, with the ability to inspire, influence, and lead both technology and business leaders
  • Exceptional financial analysis skills, including the ability to interpret and develop financial models and reports
  • Quick to understand any business landscape, and skilled in articulating business objectives and strategies to senior leaders
  • Proven management experience in complex commercial settings, especially in supplier relationship and contract management
  • Expertise in planning, budgeting, and resource management
