The Manager Schedule Distribution and Planning is a critical role responsible for leading the schedule distribution and planning process for Qantas airlines and key partner carriers outside the operational window. As part of this role, the position will be responsible for the end-to-end customer distribution of Network schedules, including detailed planning, cross-functional stakeholder management and the assessment and mitigation of customer impacts of network changes.

This role is hands-on, responsible for leading a team, as well as cross-functional stakeholders to drive outcomes.  The role holder is accountable for execution of schedule changes to plan, and involves forward planning, analysing change impacts, and identifying opportunities for process improvement – designing and implementing best practices, while uplifting key performance metrics.   

You’ll have;

  • Expertise and strong airline domain experience in Network, Revenue Management, Reservations or equivalent, with 5 years experience in a leadership role
  • Demonstrated leadership capability, with a track record of leading teams and driving operational outcomes
  • A proven ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and communicate effectively, including at senior levels within a large organisation 
  • A strong customer service focus, surfacing decisions regarding customer experience
  • Project Management / Delivery skills
  • Experience in data analysis and interpretation
  • A dynamic and creative way of thinking, with the ability to problem solve and prioritise
  • An ability to deal with fast-paced environments and excel under pressure 
  • Demonstrated ability to balance customer, operational, commercial, strategic, safety and regulatory factors when making recommendations 
  • Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills and ability to work with individuals across a range of Business Units and areas of expertise 
  • High level of commitment and professionalism with willingness to learn, take ownership and accountability for high performance delivery 
  • Proven negotiation, problem solving and analytical skills and commercial acumen with ability to work and contribute to a high performing collaborative team
