The Manager Maintenance Operations – Freight's role is the focal point for all Engineering operational performance pertaining to EFA aircraft and is accountable for day of operations technical performance, co-ordination of ongoing management of deferred defects, aircraft availability / recovery and delay management and management oversight of supplier (Part 145) performance. The role works closely with Qantas Group and Jetstar Group Maintenance Operation Control (MOC) centres and relies on strong collaboration and communication. Additionally, the role requires strong aircraft maintenance experience, including actively supervising and managing aircraft maintenance activity.

 

You’ll have –

  • Demonstrated organisational, people, project, change management and commercial negotiation skills 
  • 7+ Years of experience in Engineering Management is highly desirable
  • Advanced relationship and influencing skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with stakeholders at all levels 
  • Licenced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer credentials and experience with extensive understanding of aircraft Line and Base Maintenance operations is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated customer focus and collaborative approach 
  • Strong continuous improvement expertise 
  • Strong Understanding of Aircraft reliability and maintenance programs, as well as planning processes 
  • Sound understanding of Australian and International Civil Aviation Regulations and other regulations governing industrial workforce management 
  • Knowledge of CASA and international aviation regulations and aircraft certification requirements 
  • Ability to hold CASA regulatory responsibility within Part 42.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business highly desirable
