Qantas is seeking a Manager, Inflight Entertainment & Connectivity (IFEC) to lead the end-to-end management of its IFEC portfolio across the Group. This includes strategic planning, business case development, procurement, commercial negotiations, implementation, and performance of inflight systems and services—extending to entertainment offerings in lounges. Beyond overall portfolio oversight, you will own IFE systems and Wi-Fi connectivity specifically, working alongside team members who manage content and operations, and colleagues in Digital managing software and development. Success in this role requires strong collaboration with Cabin Development, Cabin Condition, Digital, Engineering, and Technology teams, ensuring alignment with fleet and cabin investment strategies. 

As the recognised authority on IFEC, you will lead a cross-functional team within the Inflight Customer Experience unit and work closely with Digital to evolve the connected cabin experience. This includes integrating digital technologies across IFE, Wi-Fi, the Qantas App, and cabin service to enhance customer experience and explore new revenue streams. You’ll also mentor your team and champion IFEC strategy across the organisation. 

You’ll have – 

  • 5+ years experience in product management, particularly in entertainment and connectivity.  
  • Technical understanding of inflight entertainment and connectivity systems  
  • Deep understanding of digital technologies and their application in a connected cabin environment.  
  • Strong analytical and strategy development skills with commercial acumen.  
  • Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills  
  • Experience with vendor management across technical and creative domains  
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, adaptable for different audiences through to senior management  
  • Experience in driving transformation and change  
  • Ability to lead and mentor a team.  
  • Experience in managing complex projects and leading cross-functional teams.
