As the Manager Crew Systems, you will be responsible for leading the implementation and providing support for Crew systems across the Qantas Group. You will participate in gathering requirements, designing solutions, implementing, and supporting crew systems.   

In doing so you will ensure that delivery meets government regulations, collective agreements, business rules and fatigue compliance while ensuring that the business efficiency objectives are attained. As part of your role you will manage stakeholders and support change management as well as business readiness. You will also be managing and coaching a team of System Analysts.   

You’ll have  

  • Strong software development skills, especially in Python and Jeppesen Rave 
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience implementing Jeppesen Crew Pairing and Rostering  
  • Ability to perform Rave and Python code reviews, and coach Systems Analysts in improving their systems development and solution design skills. 
  • Experience in translating complex business requirements into system specification. 
  • Proven experience designing solutions, implementing systems and supporting them.   
  • The ability to win and hold trust of Senior Management and peers 
  • Experience with Agile methodology  
  • Knowledge of Jeppesen Manpower Planning (desirable) 
  • Experience with building test suites in RAVE / Python (desirable)
