Maintenance Technician

Located in our Ground Support team, your role as a Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Technician will see you upholding all maintenance-both corrective and preventative, on motorised and non-motorised vehicles and equipment. You will also be responsible for using the IFS Maintenance system to capture maintenance activities.

You will be working in a fast-paced environment with a range of stakeholders across engineering, airports and freight ensuring service level agreements are met with the highest standard of safety and compliance.

You’ll have -

• A trade certificate in Automotive Mechanical / Electrical Maintenance trade certificate or equivalent (Heavy Stream Preferred)
• Trade experience with heavy diesel vehicles is highly desirable
• Diagnostic and repair skills with an understanding of electrical and hydraulic systems is desirable, but not essential
• Commitment to being customer focused with flexibility and willingness to undertake other reasonable duties as required
• Familiarity with ground service equipment e.g. Pushback tugs, aircraft loaders, pallet loaders etc.
• High risk license, Forklift license, and Elevatored Work Platform (EWP) ticket is desirable
• Ability to commit to a Monday-Friday day shift roster (0630-1500)
• Demonstrated high levels of ethical/behaviour standards and self-discipline
• Proven experience in a similar role  
• Dedicated to maintaining safe work practices and environment
