We are currently seeking qualified Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers, to join our high performing team based at Sydney airport.  The main function of this role is to carry out maintenance on Jetstar aircraft in a timely and safe manner, in accordance with company requirements. We want to hear from you if you are logical, can see the big picture, and do not mind working in a fast-paced and sometimes unpredictable environment. We work in a dynamic environment, and you will have the opportunity to be a key contributor to this team.

Subject to terms, full sponsorship and generous relocation support may be available for international candidates plus dependents interested in relocating to Sydney. 

Employees in our Jetstar Engineering Maintenance Team are a critical part of our business and they:

• Carry out maintenance on company aircraft
• Ensure timely and correct completion of all work carried out
• Quality Control for aircraft presentation - upon completion of maintenance and prior to release
• Delivering quality and reliable maintenance and rectification services to a high standard Ensuring all WHS and Quality policies and procedures are adhered to.
• Comply with Jetstar’s Safety Management System
• Required to work at other ports (including international locations) as required
• Comply with all Jetstar training and compliance requirements
• Build and maintain a good working relationship with contractors and outside service providers

If you bring the following qualifications and experience and wish to relocate to Sydney, we would love to hear from you:

• A CASA (preferred) or EASA Part 66 B1 or B2 license. You will have previous certification experience as a B or A licenced engineer)
• Trade qualified in Mechanical, Avionics or Structures, experienced on A320 or similar aircraft
• Willingness and ability to work permanent nightshift  
• Willingness and ability to relocate for a permanent opportunity in Sydney with potential sponsorship
• Have excellent time management skills and a proven ability to effectively manage self and others
• A proven commitment to quality, safety and continuous improvement initiatives
• Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to handle competing demands, particularly when under pressure and/or managing multiple stakeholders; and
• A valid driving licence and ability to obtain an Airside Drivers Licence

Remuneration on offer:  All Jetstar Engineers in Australia are paid under the Jetstar Airways Engineering & Maintenance Enterprise Agreement 2023 which can be referenced HERE.

Minimum base salary for a qualified AME with under 2 years experience post Apprenticeship is $83,236 (excluding superannuation, overtime payments, allowances and potential bonuses plus heavily discounted staff travel fares for employees and limited beneficiaries).  Salary increases are subject to qualifications per Australian aviation regulations and per Jetstar’s Enterprise Agreement.
