Takeoff with your next opportunity  

As Engineering Systems Specialist, you will be responsible to ensure the reliability and sustainability of Jetstar and Qantas Engineering IT systems which are used to manage the 787 A/C software. This role also supports the maintenance of Airbus Portable Data Loader and GSE Laptop Tooling which is used to maintain the Jetstar Aircraft.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Administration of user access on various Engineering Support Systems managed Applications.
  • Management of the G-FOMAX system and Airbus Digital Trust Solutions.
  • Provide technical support for vendor websites and applications.
  • Maintain Jetstar Loadable Software Airplane Parts (LSAPs) for the B787 fleet.
  • Operate and manage LSAP Librarian tools
  • Support Airbus Portable Data Loaders (PDLs) and Ground Support Equipment (GSE).
  • Support and manage Boeing Universal Maintenance Device (UMD) laptops.
  • Provide technical support for Jetstar and Qantas fleets' maintenance activities.
  • Assist with in-service Avionics and e-Enabling systems issues.
  • Develop and support procedures [SC1] for managing Airplane Software Parts.
  • Ensure digital security and integrity of B787 and A320 Ground Support Information System in accordance with regulatory and airworthiness requirement.
  • Perform additional duties within the Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO) as directed.
  • Provide input on technology related issues affecting Engineering processes, users and systems.

Key to achieving success in this role we are seeking the following experience and attributes:

  • Proven experience in system administration
  • Prior experience supporting an Airline Maintenance system
  • Business application Integration experience
  • Digital Security management experience is ideal
  • Ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Process driven, with experience in constructing new processes to deliver business goals.
  • Highly motivated and committed to continuous improvement.
  • An Engineering/IT Degree holder or relevant experience will be highly regarded during the recruitment process
