Qantas Engineering plays a critical role in maintaining the safety and reliability of the Qantas fleet and aircraft for customers across the Asia-Pacific region. With access to cutting-edge equipment and resources, our team’s commitment to excellence ensures we remain at the forefront of aviation.

As a Senior Technical Officer – Receipt Compliance, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the integrity and compliance of aviation parts entering our inventory. This includes processing components for external repair, managing exchange and used parts, loans, scrap, and material sales, and raising and receipting purchase orders. You’ll also resolve technical queries and ensure strict regulatory compliance, including identifying Suspect Unapproved Parts (SUP) before they enter the supply chain.

This role also includes supervisory responsibilities—supporting the development of Technical Officers, assisting with manpower allocation, and managing workflow across the Receipt Compliance team.

What You’ll Bring

  • A Trade Certificate (e.g. Aircraft Maintenance Engineer) and eligibility to hold a Production Examiner authority
  • Minimum 4 years of engineering experience
  • Strong planning and prioritisation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Well-developed interpersonal and coaching abilities
  • Analytical thinking and sound judgment under pressure
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and adapt to change
  • Proficiency in systems including MXI, SUPPLY, Intelx, ERes, AV-Data, ADOC Navigator, DocuNet, QEPM, Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Familiarity with OEM service literature, ADs, and CASA regulations related to airworthiness
  • Commitment to safety and compliance with Qantas Group policies
